TMT Stress Test
Tread Mill Test, also called as Regular Stress Test, or TMT Test, determines the effect of physical stress on your heart. It is done to see how well your heart responds when you are made to exercise in a controlled environment. It is performed on OPD basis so there is no need of hospitalization for the test. Patient exercises on a Treadmill under the supervision of a physician and his/her ECG is monitored continuously. In addition, blood pressure and other symptoms are also monitored. Holter Monitoring
Holter monitor test is used to help explain what is happening to your heart rhythm and/or why you are having palpitations. A technician will place the electrodes that sense your heartbeat on your chest. For men, a small amount of hair may be shaved to ensure the electrodes stick. The technician will then connect the electrodes to a recording device with several wires. It is advisable to wear a loose fitting shirt with a higher neckline so that the electrodes can be covered.
